Santiago Gil Gallardo brings experience across investing, finance, and company-building in the U.S. and Latin America, with a focus on helping growing businesses create structure, allocate capital, and execute through complexity.
Before Orion, Santiago:
- Served as Senior Associate at IGNIA Partners, a leading Latin American venture capital firm, where he managed a portfolio of 14 companies, executed new investments and exits, and drove board-level reporting, restructurings, follow-on financings, and fundraising initiatives
- Was a founding associate at MXC Capital, a boutique investment bank in Mexico City, where he helped build the firm’s structuring practice and executed $250MM+ in transaction mandates, including Mexico’s first SME-focused private debt fund
- Began his career at UNIFIN, a Mexican financial services company, on the Special Projects team, working directly with senior executives on M&A evaluation and a company-wide banking transformation initiative
At Orion, Santiago serves as Chief of Staff to the CEO, partnering on strategy, operating cadence, and cross-functional execution across the platform.
Santiago holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, with a minor in Systems Engineering, from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
